Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Tanjungbalai bersama Stakeholder melakukan posko pengamanan arus mudik lebaran tahun 2019. Posko ini akan beroperasi H-7 hingga H+7 lebaran Idul Fitri 1440 H. Posko pengamanan sudah dimulai dari hari Rabu tanggal 29 Mei 2019 , Kota tanjungbalai sendiri memiliki tiga Posko pengamanan diantara nya : Terminal Sijambi , Stasiun Kereta Api , Pelabuhan Teluk nibung.
Dinas Perhubungan juga telah menepatkan personil di masing – masing posko pengamanan tersebut, karena Posko pengamanan adalah kegiatan rutin yang dilakukan Dinas Perhubungan setiap tahunnya.Di setiap pos yang ada, pemudik dipersilakan bertanya untuk mendapat informasi perihal jalur mudik atau sekedar mampir untuk beristirahat sejenak sebelum kembali melanjutkan perjalanan.Posko Pengamanan ini disiapkan guna memantau pergerakan, sekaligus mengatur arus lalu lintas selama musim mudik tahun ini Termasuk menjaga keamanan dan memberikan pelayanan kepada para pemudik.
