Dalam rangka memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat dan mendukung Kegiatan Kota Layak anak maka Dinas Perhubungan Kota Tanjungbalai selain melakukan pengendalian arus lalu lintas di jalan raya, juga melakukan pelayanan dalam hal Antar Jemput anak sekolah di daerah yang tidak dilalui oleh angkutan umum. Kegiatan ini dilakukan setiap hari pada jadwal masuk sekolah pukul 06.30 pada pagi hari dan pada pulang sekolah pada pukul 11.45 WIB dan pelayanan ini sifatnya GRATIS. Jalur bus anak sekolah yang dilalui adalah Terminal sijambi – Pasar traktor – jalan AMD – sungai dua – jalan arteri – D.I. Panjaitan – Politeknik Tanjungbalai dan sebaliknya.
